Â鶹ÊÓƵ College welcomes you to our website. We are a secondary Lutheran Boarding College for Aboriginal students from Central and remote areas of Australia. At Â鶹ÊÓƵ, Christ is central to all we do.

Wesley Meurant - Principal

Wes’s schooling career demonstrates a long-standing commitment to supporting Indigenous students from the Northern Territory and Queensland.

With such a wealth of experience and expertise, he views working with Indigenous students as a privilege and an honour.

Wes has a committed Christian faith and seeks to approach people from a Gospel perspective showing great patience and love for those he deals with.
Wes’s extensive background within boarding, academic, and pastoral environments, combined with over 15 years of school leadership, make him an exceptional leader for our Â鶹ÊÓƵ team.

His dedication to empowering students and fostering a nurturing and inclusive educational environment aligns perfectly with Â鶹ÊÓƵ's core values and mission.
Academically, Wes’s credentials are outstanding. He holds degrees in Theology and Linguistics, demonstrating a well-rounded understanding of diverse cultures and the importance of effective communication. Furthermore, his two Masters degrees in education reflect his dedication to continuous learning and professional growth.

This vast knowledge and expertise undoubtedly benefit our students and contribute to their academic success. In addition to his educational qualifications, Wes’s Diploma in Investing showcases his commitment to holistic development and the importance of financial literacy. Such skills will enable him to support the Â鶹ÊÓƵ community in various ways, ensuring that our students are equipped with the tools they need to succeed not only academically but also in their future endeavors.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Wes is a devoted family man. Married with two children, he understands the importance of strong family connections and community support. These values will undoubtedly resonate within our school community, fostering a sense of belonging and unity.

Lastly, it must be mentioned that Wes is a diehard supporter of his beloved Bulldogs in the NRL. His enthusiasm for sports and commitment to being an ardent supporter will undoubtedly inspire our students to embrace teamwork, sportsmanship, and resilience both on and off the field.

Â鶹ÊÓƵ College is a lively Christian educational facility, offering a broad selection of educational and recreational activities for its pupils. The College is composed of two areas, intertwined in such a way that they are inseparable. Both the academic program and the boarding program are highly valued, each being of equal importance.
